We are a team (or ‘benefice’) of seven parishes with eight churches lying north of the city of Leicester and to the east of the ancient Roman road, the Fosse Way. We are part of the Church of England and in the Diocese of Leicester. The team includes the churches of Barkby, East Goscote, Queniborough, Ratcliffe-on-the-Wreake, Rearsby, Syston, Thrussington, and Thurmaston.
Our vision is to be a Christian presence in the heart of each community, centered on Christ, serving others, proclaiming the gospel, being accessible and offering a welcome to all in Christ’s name. We work creatively together as both clergy and lay people to bring this vision to life.
If you’re in the area and you want to join us we would be very happy to see you. Each church is individual and unique within its town or village setting and together we offer a wide range of services.
If we may be of assistance, please get in touch.

The parishes of The Fosse Team are committed to the safeguarding of children, young people and adults. We follow the House of Bishops guidance and policies and have our own Parish Safeguarding Officers (PSOs). The Diocese of Leicester’s safeguarding pages contain vital links and information including contacts for the Diocesan Safeguarding Advisor (DSA) who advise our PSOs. If you are concerned that a child or adult has been harmed or may be at risk of harm please contact the DSA. If you have immediate concerns about the safety of someone, please contact the police and your local authority Children or Adults Services.
If you have a safeguarding concern, then please contact our Parish Safeguarding Officer. You can do this by sending an email to firstname.lastname@example.org, which will be forwarded to the Parish Safeguarding Officer; or you can contact the appropriate Team Rector / Team Vicar (see above).
If you wish to speak to the Diocesan Safeguarding Advisor, or to someone outside the church, their contact details are available on the Safeguarding page of the Diocese of Leicester website.
If you have concerns about the immediate safety of someone please do not delay in calling the Police on 999 or contacting Children or Adult Services at the local authority:
